A Novel DPC Approach for DFIG-Based Variable Speed Wind Power Systems Using DSpace

The integration of wind energy systems into the electric grid has become inevitable despite many problems associated with this integration. Most these are due to variations in speed. for example oscillations power generated, which implies lack guarantee obtaining maximum and ripple electromechanical torque generator. This work aims at mitigating conversion system-driven doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), is main turbine utilized applications. mitigation performed through direct reactive active powers control DFIG using an artificial neural network. A DSP (Digital Signal Processor-dSPACE DS1104) was used experimentally test proposed strategy. dynamic performances controlled analyzed by designed intelligent strategy case variable speeds upon sudden change demand. Based on obtained experimental results, it can be said that outperforms traditional methods like (DPC) vector terms reducing current harmonics, ripples, enhancing response.
